CATLIN TRIATHLONS 2015
The Catlin Triathlons, comprising the Olympic distance national championships, a sprint race and races for juniors, are coming up soon. The events will be at Clearwater on 12 April. Registration is already open on www.racedayworld.com. More details here.
. The traditional Good Friday triathlon will be held this Friday, 3 April. As this will be a home event, sign up will be on the day with a low $5 entry fee. The race will be held at John Smith's Bay (though it might be moved to Harrington Sound Dock if Portuguese Men of War are spotted on the race morning) and will start at 8:30 am. The distances will be 750m swim/20km cycle/4km run. Enjoy the race and please thank the volunteer race director(s). HAPPY EASTER from all at the BTA!
FLORA MAKES THE PODIUM IN ABU DHABI! In a breakthrough performance, Flora took 3rd place in the ITU World Cup Series season opener in Abu Dhabi. This is Flora's first podium finish in the World Cup series, which represents the pinnacle of the sport. What a great way to build on the three wins she has already racked up in 2015 (see below). ANOTHER Junior Camp. We will be hosting another overseas junior triathlon coach, who will be coming to Bermuda to run a skills camp between 28 March and 1 April for juniors aged between 13 and 18. We do not yet have the exact schedule, but these will not be full day sessions. Space is limited, so if your child is interested please email Deb at email@example.com asap.
World Triathlon Grand Final--2015. It's going to be in September, in Chicago. NEW: we've added details about how to qualify if you want to take part. NB that the Catlin triathlon may be important in that regard. Read more.
